The moment you search for “Lemon Lion Consulting” today, one thing immediately stands out: their Google listing is marked as “Permanently Closed.” And once we started digging deeper into what happened to the company, the situation became far more concerning than just a business shutting down.

So what exactly happened to Lemon Lion Consulting? Let’s go through it.

To begin with, oddly enough, their website is still online. Broken in some areas, outdated in others, but still accessible. Domain records suggest it was registered through April 2027, so unless something changes, the shell of the site may remain visible for quite some time.

And honestly? At first glance, the site still looks convincing.

Like most timeshare exit companies, Lemon Lion Consulting presented the standard formula: a consultation form, promises of relief from contracts, “why choose us” sections, references to years of experience, and claims of helping consumers escape burdensome timeshares. They also prominently advertised an A+ rating with the BBB — which, technically speaking, appears to have been legitimate despite the complaints we’ll get into later.

They showcased Google reviews, embedded video testimonials, and even examples of cancellation letters supposedly received by clients. Compared to many low-effort exit companies, Lemon Lion actually appeared more polished and organized than expected.

The company also maintained a small collection of self-help blog articles discussing topics like rescission periods, selling timeshares, cancellation strategies, and general timeshare advice. Interestingly, however, those blog uploads only appeared around May 2025 and stopped roughly a month later in June 2025, making the entire content effort feel unusually brief and short-lived.

Their “About Us” page described the company as:

Their FAQ section was fairly standard for the industry. They claimed the cancellation process could take around 8–12 months depending on circumstances, although cases could allegedly take longer. Pricing, however, was notably vague. Rather than providing transparent costs, they simply referred to their services as being offered at the “lowest cost” possible.

One major selling point they heavily promoted was their 18-month money-back guarantee.

According to Lemon Lion’s own terms, if they failed to secure a timeshare exit within 18 months, clients could supposedly receive a full refund. However, there was an important catch: the agreement could also automatically extend for another 18 months unless the client submitted a written objection within 30 days prior to renewal.

And that detail becomes extremely important once you look at the complaints surfacing today.

The company also branched into credit repair services through something called “Lemon Lion Repair,” claiming their team had “decades” of experience in credit improvement and legal processes. Curiously, this section linked users to an old portal called “Secure Client Access,” tied to a heavily password-protected website that has apparently existed in that inaccessible state since around 2010.

Users were supposedly meant to access case information through that portal, though very little about it inspired confidence.

Lemon Lion Consulting additionally featured “Client Success Stories,” including videos and copies of cancellation confirmations. Under normal circumstances, this sort of material could help build legitimacy. But considering the company’s current state and the growing reports from former customers, it becomes increasingly difficult to determine how representative or trustworthy many of those testimonials truly were.

Their social media presence effectively died out in stages. Their Instagram activity stopped in 2023. Their YouTube uploads ceased in June 2025. Facebook activity ended around October 2025. Even replies to positive Google reviews eventually stopped entirely.

So, what exactly does Exit Timeshare Consultant claim to offer?

From what we can gather, they present three types of exit options:

The free DIY option supposedly provides templates, step-by-step guides, and general scam awareness resources so users can attempt the process on their own. On paper, that sounds useful—but it’s also information that isn’t particularly hard to find elsewhere.

Their AI-assisted option appears to be a guided version of the same process. It includes an intake wizard, personalized questions, and document templates generated from their system. In practice, it doesn’t seem drastically different from the DIY route—just packaged in a more “automated” format and placed behind a paywall.

At worst, they follow a pattern we’ve seen before: vague promises, gated information, and potential data harvesting.

What is Truthful Timeshare Termination, really? From everything we were able to review, it appears less like a legitimate consumer assistance service and more like a polished variation of the same old questionable timeshare exit formula.

Truthful Timeshare Termination does not appear to operate as a traditional timeshare cancellation company. Instead, it presents itself as a resource that supposedly helps owners navigate the cancellation process on an individual basis. The brand seems to be created and promoted by a man identifying himself as Tim / Timothy Downey. However, very little publicly verifiable information can be found regarding this individual.

There does appear to be a rather empty Facebook profile connected to the name, with a post made in a Silverleaf Owners group in January 2026. Interestingly, neither the profile nor the group activity appears to openly advertise the company website, which only adds to the mystery surrounding the operation.

According to the website’s own wording, Truthful Timeshare Termination offers a “course” designed to teach consumers the correct exit process for a timeshare.

At first glance, the site gives the impression that it is free, or at the very least a way to avoid spending thousands of dollars on traditional exit companies. But once we dig deeper, the picture changes quickly.

The so-called program is listed at $369 to “really” learn the Timeshare Termination Program. There is also a catch: it is only supposedly available to owners whose timeshare is fully paid off, with no mortgage balance, and whose maintenance fees and assessments are fully current.

Then, elsewhere on the same site, visitors are presented with another option: a 90-minute one-on-one session for $275 to “assess” their specific situation.

So what is the actual service here? A course? A consultation? Both? Neither? The pricing structure feels inconsistent and unnecessarily confusing.

To make matters even stranger, the buttons that supposedly lead users to a shopping cart or purchase page do not appear to function properly.

But when reviewing BBB records, another clue emerges: the listed owner of Timeshare Solutions Plus, Yvette Carsten, was also connected to Smart Start Services. That company is now listed as out of business. No active complaints or reviews remain visible there, though records indicate it was established in 2020.

The deeper history of the “Smart Start Timeshare” name stretches even further back. Around 2012, it appears to have functioned as an informational website discussing timeshare resale scams and warning consumers about resale companies. One thing we can say is that they don’t appear to rely on the flood of overly polished or suspiciously consistent positive reviews that many other exit companies use. But that doesn’t necessarily work in their favor either. As of now, they have exactly one positive review from 2024—and nothing else. No complaints, no additional feedback, just silence.

They also appear to be endorsed by several public figures, including Charlie Kirk. There is a video on YouTube dated January 27th, 2026, featuring him. However, for those familiar with recent events surrounding him, that date raises questions. Whether this is recycled content or something else entirely is unclear, but it does introduce an inconsistency that we can’t ignore.

Additionally, Lonestar claims to have been featured on major media outlets such as Discovery and Fox Business. As with many companies in this space, these claims are difficult to independently verify. Without clear sourcing or direct references, it’s something we recommend taking with a grain of salt.

Like many other exit companies, they advertise a money-back guarantee. But here’s where things become a bit vague. They don’t clearly define a timeframe for completing a timeshare exit. Most reputable companies will at least outline an estimated period—commonly around 36 months—and specify what happens if that deadline isn’t met. In this case, Lonestar leaves that window open-ended. That lack of clarity could potentially be used as a loophole, allowing the process to drag on indefinitely without accountability. It’s not definitive proof of wrongdoing, but it is something we would flag for caution.

When we shift our attention to their online reputation, things become more complicated.
